Explain what is the difference between Sampling Scheme and Sampling Procedure?

Sampling procedure :

Sampling procedures are usually used at characteristic level of a task list or material specification.

A sampling procedure defines the rules that specify how the system calculates the sample size and it contains information about the valuation of an inspection characteristic during results recording (attributive, variable, manual, etc.).

Sampling Scheme : 

A collection of sampling plans. A sampling plan applies to the sample size based on a specific inspection lot quantity and defines the criteria for determining whether and how a sample is accepted or rejected. In the R/3 System, the structure of the sampling plans complies with international standards (for example ISO 2859 and ISO 3951). However, you can also add sampling schemes for different sampling procedures.
 
- Determine the sample size on the basis of the lot size, inspection severity, or combination of inspection severity and AQL (actual quality level) 
- Store how a decision is made to accept or reject a characteristic 
- Determine the number of physical samples, based on the lot size, or the number of containers in an inspection lot. 
 
Inspectiom methods are nothing but test methods of each characteristice and which can be used in Inspection plan.
for eg. pH is the inspection characteristic and pH test method is created as inspection method and this can be incorprated with inspection plan.
