How to delete Measuring point of an equipment for which already measuring document is created?

You can inactive the measuring point so that further measuring document creation is not possible. And it be available in equipment for history.

Follow the steps:
1) Run the transaction IK02.
2) Enter the measuring point number.
3) Select the following path: Measuring Point (Menu Bar) -> Functions-> Active<-->Inactive-> Inactive
4) Try for creating meas. doc., it will not be possible for this meas. point.
 

How to delete a Measuring Point permanently from the system?

Delete measuring points or counters in the overview screen of all measuring points for the object. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. In create or change mode(IE01, IE02), Click "Measuring Points/Counter" tab and open the "Maintain Measuring
    Points:overview" screen. .
2. Select the measuring points and counters, that you wish to delete.
3. Choose Edit " Delete entries".
4. Check the online message that appears. Confirm the entries if they are correct.

The system deletes the measuring points/counters permanently.

If selected measuring points/counters could not be deleted, the system informs you of this in another online message.
