There are several ways to enforce business discipline: 1. Make a Plant maintenance KPI for the Head maintenance and his sub-ordinate 2. Training: People need to be trained to use SAP and more importantly in your business processes. If people understand why they need to do something they are more likely to do it. 3. Use of Workflow: Use workflow to automate the process. For example when a particular job is taken up by a planner group an email may be sent to the p[lanner. 4. System audit: carry out regular system audit and submit the report to the responsible maintenance engineer / Head. 5. Be Flexible: Be prepared to modify your business process. If you can deliver what the users want then definitely there would be lot of takers. 6. Discipline is the king: Make people aware of this fact through training and change mangement workshop.
