You can import deposit as unapplied cash using lockbox interface. First you need to setup up a lockbox
(set auto-associate ='No), banks and transmission format.

Pass customer number as part of transmission format so lockbox can book the amount to customer as unapplied cash.

Changing Customer Name

To change the customer name, set Profile option AR: Change customer name to Yes.

Gift certificates in AR

We can load gift certificate as On-Account Credits using LockBox. We can write-off/void if they are partially or never used by defining an adjustment activity and asjusting them using this activity.
